Find more details about locations and routes on www.prokk.dk, Facebook and the App. Tour de Topia transforms Aarhus’ building facades into a dynamic projection screen. The artist moves around the city and plays with the surfaces of the buildings. Their individual characteristics will bend and distort the projected images. The final visual expression is created at the intersection between art and architecture. The projected images are visual documentations of building sites and geometric elements, both referencing the unending tearing down and building up - an infinite cycle of urban development and disappearance. An exploration of the tension field between empty and overcrowded space. The artist will gradually enter the projections and introduce a human scale to the situation: her own living body and the reminder of how architecture forms humans in the same way that the projections are formed by the buildings. |
