Institut for (X), Skovgaardsgade 5, 8000 Aarhus This Red Door is an international project in collaboration with German artists linked to the artist collectives and exhibition spaces Westwerk and Gängeviertel in Hamburg. The concept is simple: the artists invite everyone to an open discussion over a collectively cooked meal allowing people to form bonds across professions, experience and nationalities. They create temporary communication platforms in the name of art in which the divisions between art, relationality and knowledge dissolve. A social organism is born that is constantly restructuring and creating itself. Artists, dancers, performers, cooks, video artists and IT nerds alike are invited from near and far to grow this social platform. The public is equally welcome to contribute with knowledge, experiences, performances, readings, presentations of whatever else they can think of. |
