The installation revives the ‘ritual’ and reestablishes the tree as the sacred and revered natural object it once was. Rituals seem to be obsolete, a forgotten practice in our modern digital age dominated by objectivity and scientific knowledge. The Ritual Tree intends to awaken our senses, to help us remember our origins and bring the old rites back to life. It points out the importance of understanding that we can never be in complete control. That we have to acknowledge the existence of other powers higher than ourselves. 

​The installation will be accompanied by 2-3 participatory performances in which the public is invited to revive old rituals, but also to invent new ones. For more info visit prokk.dk, Facebook & App.
