9. - 30. September Sculpture. Installation on gable. Vester Allé 7, 8000 Aarhus C A 2 metres tall sculpture of a person wandering vertically up an end wall defies Gravity and challenges our sight. It makes us stop up from the daily grind and habitual thinking. The artist is urging us to view things from a different perspective, think again and take other roads than the ones we are used to. The sculpture functions as a temporary role model. Paving a new way and at the same time a representative of our collective consciousness. We all strive to move upwards - whether by seeking answers to a question, solutions to a problem, or by desiring to be better at controlling our lives, both work wise and on a personal level. Every now and again we are forced by life’s circumstances to move borders, turn things upside down and seek answers in new places. Rethink reminds us that there is always another way, another path, an alternative. |
