Shelves for Very Important Things is an installation consisting of two shelves made of clay and an object hanging from each shelf. The work deals with man's construction, categorization and ranking of things.
One of the characteristics of the age of the anthropocene is the constructing human being. The interference of man is ubiquitous, tirelessly constructing and reconstructing cities, road networks, machines, the human body and plants. Everything is constructed – even nature.
